Consultation Info

Initial Homeschool Consultation

1-2 hours

1. Discuss concerns, goals, learning styles, and needs in personal interview. Then Sarah submits to you a list of custom resources and general recommendations for the year. This is a general consult to help family educators “get into the groove” and is not child-specific (that would be an individual learning plan-more detailed and a longer process).

Each additional consult hour is $75 per hour.

Comprehensive Whole Life Learning Plan

(Homeschool IEP)

This is an extensive package (the homeschool equivalent of a public school Individual Educational Plan IEP but BETTER and more unique to each learner).

Client will:

1. Meet to discuss homeschool learning styles/goals/concerns.

2. Client will share/submit an extensive survey of learning needs/challenges etc. provided by company, also client will share any therapist notes, previous relevant documentation, therapy goals, etc. to help customize plan (info optional).

5. Client will receive final Learning Plan up to two weeks later (this document can be used in future IEP meetings if child ever returns to school in future). The Learning Plan is helpful for goal setting and measuring progress in the homeschool child.  Especially beneficial for the child with special needs where “proof of progress” can become a complicated assessment.

Once a learning plan is established, consults on learning plan or updates can be scheduled or discussed for rates per hour. Learning Plans for the following year can be updated

College Planning/Transcript Consultation (General)

(1-2 Hours) Each additional consultation/discussion

College planning can be stressful and overwhelming, but help is here. Sarah's experience in teaching high school and college learners, navigating the admissions process, and understanding how colleges recruit home school learners under different criteria offers nervous parents essential guidance in mapping and navigating unfamiliar terrain. Learners outside the traditional public/private school framework operate within a whole different paradigm-one that is expansive and open for customization.

It is time to assess your transcript and planning differently too! In this session, we meet to discuss general needs and goals for 1-2 hours. After this initial session, you will be sent a summary of ideas and resources discussed to further help you. This is a general planning session.

Comprehensive College Planning/Transcript Consultation (Premium)

(Package)

Each additional consultation/discussion
per hour

This session will address how to reach individual educational goals in the teen years and beyond. We will discuss the individual learner’s goals and how best to reach them utilizing community resources, and both traditional and non-traditional methods.  Then a plan is created and given to client within two weeks that can be amended as needed. Clients are given a comprehensive road map to help navigate a path to their learner's future, adaptable and open to regular updating.  Colleges assess homeschool students differently.
